Chap I vaguely know has just celebrated his 50th day without his c350e

I believe that he has been told that it needs a gearbox, but Mercedes appear to be unable to source one...

For most of this time he has had a diesel Hyundai hire car. Not quite what he expected. His catalogue of missed promises from Mercedes is actually shocking.

If you check out the Mercedes Uk Twitter feed you will see daily updates from him about the callbacks not honoured...

Is this gearbox problem common? I’m not around here very often anymore so not up to speed...

Not heard of it before. I'm surprised they've not got him into a C-class given the nature of the situation. Did he buy it through a broker or from a dealer a long way away by any chance?
