I think they are EXACTLY the same except for the collar at the bottom, which could be modified anyway. I will take pics later myself to demonstrate . In fact I might order a manual knob with gaiter for the modern look...

OK, a close up of my knob. Have a few more angles, but batteries died and charging.

You see, totally different. Also manual has mechanism to lift into reverse.
