C43/55 engine noise?

Iv started hearing a strange metally knocking noise coming from my car every now and them, seems to be once its warmed up after a run. It seems to be coming from the drivers side. I recently had a specialist look at it whilst being serviced but they couldnt hear anything so nothing else was done and i thought nothing of it but now its come back.

Sounds like a slap more than a knock.

Keep us informed. Might be an idea to stop driving it a limit the damage

I would hazard a guess and say hydraulic lifters on drivers side head are sticking. Not a big job, DIY'able.

Stopped by the garage today as it started to do it again and it's been diagnosed as a failing water pump so not too bad I suppose.
