Hi guys,
I was booked to go to MRC Tuning to have a few power runs done. This is due to my car feeling massively down on power, particularly higher in the rev range. I called them before I was due to leave and was told that the C43 has been reported as breaking DIF's when on Dyno's? Obviously I didn't go. Any thoughts?
Does anyone know of a MB specialist in or around NW London who could check my power safely?

Cheers
PS: Crabbing is terrible at the mo.

Not sure how else you're going to test the engine power/torque other than put it on a dyno? I used to use MRC when I owned an RS6 and had it on the dyno a few times with no issues. MRC do know their stuff though and are no doubt playing it safe.

As long as it’s on a 4wd rolling road I don’t see why?

The crabbing on the CLA45 is always bad when the temperature drops below 5• until I put winter tyres on.

Thanks guys,
I was using MRC since 2004 in my S & RS models and they do know their stuff. I had my B7 RS4 on their dyno loads when I had it all tuned but Doug told me yesterday he had heard the C43 was prone to diff damage when on the dyno. I have been looking more locally for a specialist but can't find anyone with a 4wd system who is happy to do this for me. Perfect Touch in Hertfordshire have a 4wd drive system but due to refurbishments that's not available until February. Anyone used them before??

Cheers

Go to MSL..I know it's a fair way but they are the specialists for very good reason. Think they are doing package deals at the moment..

This time last week i was at MSL.........call acid prior and explain issue. God willing he will have the right answer.

There's a few MSL's on line guys. Do you have an address please?

Appologies i cant forward the google link...........MSL Birmingham.

Thank you, I'll give them a call as their site is under maintenance.

If you can't get through on the phone you can also e-mail them: [email protected] per their website. I did recently and their responses were fast and helpful :)

Just phone Acid directly.
