C43 AMG with Race Chip Upgrade

So I am looking at the potential to chip my C43 when it arrives in October and have found a German company called Race Chip

They offer an upgrade that takes the car from 367BHP to 436BHP (+19%) and torque from 520NM to 624NM (+20%)

Sensible increases. I had a 320D BMW chipped from 180BHP to 215BHP and it transformed the car.

Appreciate that its a new car and warranty will be in question but that aside has anyone used Race Chip and have experience of their products?

They offer a 30 money back guarantee which is tempting.

Not sure of any 0-60 changes etc at this stage

There was a very favourable review of their chip for the Macan Turbo on YouTube - looks interesting and I am considering one for the Mini. Products seem to be a little slow to appear for sale on their UK website. They do also seem to offer some kind of engine warranty but as always the devil will be in the detail.

I also understand they are a DIY fit.

There was a very favourable review of their chip for the Macan Turbo on YouTube - looks interesting and I am considering one for the Mini. Products seem to be a little slow to appear for sale on their UK website. They do also seem to offer some kind of engine warranty but as always the devil will be in the detail.

Thanks Simon, will spend a bit more time later surfing for info. I like the fact that it can re-set the car back to factory settings when you disconnect it prior to service etc.

Really that's more than the C43 and that has a 3 litre, sounds like a mistake to me.

It's doable and certainly a contender even for a C63, Rebellion Motorsport IIRC has developed a good tune for the A45's, someone from there posted figures a while back

Considering a remap already when the car isn't here yet? Shouldn't you have ordered a C63 instead?

The most expensive Racechip box looks very similar to the DTUK version, they supply both petrol AND diesel boxes now. I guess they are made in germany at somewhere like DTE, then the rights for selling and branding are sold on a franchise basis?

Worth checking them out too and comparing the prices.

Yes as its a pretty busy forum and sometimes this one is a little quiet, I would also expect the BMW boys to have lots of chipping experience.

C63 performance with better handling and £12k cheaper, why get a C63?

Some of the claimed HP increases for this box look big.

They're claiming higher increases with a plug and play box than Eurocharged gain with a bespoke remap on the SL400 engine, that would get me asking questions.

The other alarm bell is CKS Performance are their UK agent. A company that appears to adopt the EuroMerc approach to customer service.
