C43 Carbon Steering Wheel

Do you lot think this is an original part on my new car? It's very good quality, but it doesn't mention it on the parts list as far as I can see...

Yes , a friend had a carbon one for sale a while back.

Part number is B66268352

I don't think they were ever a factory fitted option, but classed as an accessory, hence the B suffixed pt. no. Howard has quoted.
There are also a few specialist that can refinish steering wheels like this, which I think might have happened to this one as the carbon weave doesn't quite look right to me, Olly (BlackC55) has a genuine MB untouched carbon fibre finished steering wheel for his 43, so might be worth comparing it to a pic of his wheel.

IIRC The carbon on my old genuine one was slightly different to the carbon of the interior - I think your one is the same as mine

Yeah, I'd like to see a picture of ollys one. Would it have the part number stamped onto the back of the wheel if it was original?

Can anybody recommend a reputable shop to retrim a steering wheel with 1/2 leather, 1/2 carbon fibre? The ones I see on eBay are wrong colour with no paddle shifting.

Does anyone know if this wheel is the real deal? I can't find any information on them anywhere... It was certainly added to the car at a later date than build, as I have the receipt for work done. I would just like to compare it to any known genuine ones out there..?

Yes its genuine. Same as my old one l. I'll give you 150 quid for it if you are not happy with it (plus a matching non carbon wheel . !!!!!!

Nice find! I would say that is the same as mine but with an amg centre.
