c43 engine in a c250 diesel..just wondering

ok ok im having a bit of a mad moment here...but....!!!

how difficult/expensive would it be to put a c43 engine into my 1998 c250td estate..... im more curious than anything else.. would it work with the gearbox ive got and what about the wiring too.... probably cheaper just to go out and buy a c43 estate but ive gotta ask..... anyone

If you have a donor car, it would be possible as you would need suspension, brakes and rear axle in addition to the engine and gearbox.

In other words, much easier and cheaper to get a proper C43.

mmm i guessed that, probably too much of a job, thought it might just be an engine/gearbox swap but then i would imagine you would need the wiring harness and as you say the rear axle would need to be changed and the brakes beefed up too.. guess i will stick with the c250... maybe treat myself to a c43 in a few years
