I'm contemplating moving on from the C43 as I've just come across a very nice B5 Audi RS4 that I'm keen on.
It's a 98 C43 in silver with silver/ black designo leather.
Options above standard:-
Xenons with washwipe
electric glass sunroof
Becker single din high speed satnav/ stereo system
Elec folding wing mirrors
Also has rain sensing wipers - not sure if this was standard, and orthapedic seats.
I've only had it since September, but in that time done the following:-
New steering damper (£35)
New front foglight, genuine item (£38)
New Crank sensor (£188)
Fully rebuilt gearbox with new torque converter and gear set fitted late december 09, 200 miles ago. With unlimited mileage warranty. (£1800)
Brake fluid changed in October.
2 new Continental tyres last week (£213)
Car has a full MB service history up until the last one which was carried out by a Merc specialist. Next one due in about 4k miles. I think there's 11 stamps in the book. Full original book pack and spare keys, plus original unopened first aid kit.
Mileage 113,000
It has a folder full of recents totalling thousands of pounds of work before I bought it, including very recent refurbing of the alloys, respray of the front and rear bumpers and bonnet due to stone chipping and scratches, MAF sensors, assorted bushes, engine mounts etc.
The car is in lovely condition and the engine is smooth and not tappety or rattly.
A very well sorted C43 with the usual rust spot on the rear boot lock, but otherwise looks stunning for the age. Also has the peace of mind of a new gearbox. It makes no financial sense to sell after spending £2500 on it very recently but I've been after an RS4 for ever and something nice has come along.
Price wise I'd like £6395 or thereabouts which reflects the considerable amount spent and the history with the car.
Any interest?!?
