C43 McLaren

It looks a lovely car which has been well maintained and well worth the money. I reckon a car like this will be worth the same if not more in a few years time, free motoring. This is the kind of car that only comes along now and again.

I can see the car either in London or Brighton ,Its not just an hour for me as its a train or coach or both for brighton unless its all coach which is 6hrs lol

Ant you didn't tell me if a bank transfer is instant outside of banking hours ?

I remember seeing one of these on the forum nearly 10 years ago, IIRC there was a badge above the star on the engine cover which is missing from this one.

The door handles arent original, W210 ones (a good thing).

-Aftermarket alarm looking at the LED next to the handbrake handle
-Strange ariel on the rear

WTF shoes is the photographer wearing!

Maybe a DAB aerial? It's got an Alpine head unit.

Confirmed it's got xenon's. Reason for sale given is he's emigrating.

It will require money spending on bodywork I can see a few rust spots.

The cowling is missing from the cooling fans.

Did you go see the car??

The V5 states it is a C43 AMG

It does have service booklet by original dealership has the car as 'C43 Mclaren sport' also McLaren badge as in photo's.

There is no difference to the Suspension
There are rust spots on car & the wheels are a bit kerbed
It has been chipped . McLaren badge as in photo's.
12 months Mot

390bhp has not been verified other than word of mouth.

Whats it worth?

That's for you to decide, just under £4k?

It seems to be a normal c43, if so wait for a lower miles/more tidy example to appear.

It is a high spec C43. Rare to see them with all those options?

Xenon's, heated seats, folding mirrors, electric rear blind, parktronic, illuminated sill plates, split folding rear seats, fire extinguisher, automatic climate control.

Most of those are very rare on any W202, but couldn't remember if any of those came as standard on a 43...

Yes I remember that when I was looking for a C43.

Reading the ten year old thread and seeing some of the old members. I wonder what ever happened to Pammy and Mambo ? Met her at a Kent GTG I think.

Reading the thread was nice to see some of the old members. I have no contact with Mambo, but do see Pammy on Facebook and as far as I know she still has Edna (her SLK).

I'm connected to Mambo on Facebook, he's running a BMW 3 series and his missus has a new A Class IIRC

It is a very high spec 43, though the options you state heated seats, folding rear seats and climate control are standard on a 43 from the factory.
It is rare for a 43 to have the centre lower switch panel fully populated, and uber rare for non 43 202.

Thanks for clarification...I knew you would be the man with the knowledge on that!

I been looking at this as a 'smoker' / winter project ....

Still available .. just noticed that the owner is on here so perhaps a PM is on its way :D

No one can clarify the 390bhp claim then? Seems a wild claim without evidence to back it up, especially on such a specialist car... No way that will just be a different ecu.

Am on the case ... :thumb:

This has sparked [yet another] hair-brained scheme of the week....

With Headers, Eurocharged re-map, and Air Filters on a 55 engine you only get about 390 BHP (calculated flywheel) if you are lucky, if this still has a 43 engine in it then you will be lucky to be seeing 230-240BHP at the wheels.

I had did talks with the owner, surprised he has not advertised it here being a member & all.

All a bit vague TBH.
