I have noticed an oil leak around the power steering pump? Any ideas where its exactly coming from as i can't really pin point the leak. It might be washers or seals any part no's would help

I cleaned it up with some de greaser and the oil has appeared again

Will try and post a pic when i get a chance

Oil cooler seals 100% They go between the cooler and the filter housing.

Did mine yesterday.

Thanks olly for your quick reply have you got a part no?

Where is it located exactly? So the pump is ok?

Oil Cooler Seal Replacement - How-to

There's an old but excellent how-to thread on MBWorld from nitrogenbalance with pictures on this subject. Have a look at Leaking Oil Cooler - MBWorld.org Forums I think it has the part numbers listed.

From what Nitro' says, the seals are v expensive in the US - be interesting to see what Olly paid down south....

Checked around the oil cooler no leaks visible?

Are you sure?

There is a little plate just below it on the front cover, they can leak too.

Yes olly had a look all around the oil cooler no leaks even the belt is dry

The little plate you reffering to is it part of the cooler i could'nt see under the oil cooler if its located below it

No it is below that. It is on the engines front cover.

I will have a look on sunday. I also have some oil coming above the sump pan on the left side any ideas? I think it might be sump gasket?

Possibly be the sump. They dont often leak though.

I will have a look on sunday its either that or the rocker seals above will have to investigate thourghly
