C43 on ebay.

It mentions that the car has a 5-speed auto. Which 5-speed would this be, the same found on the W124 5-speed auto?

8 owners.....

Most gas guzzlers tend to change hands more frequently. Not because they're a lemon but because of fuel costs.

Some people also buy a V8 just to satisfy the V8 bug craving and the craving is then satisfied after 12 months! :)

Yes I appreciate what you are saying but its still a worry - everyone likes a V8 - is it just ragged for a year and moved on?

A neighbour of mine has CLK 430 and it sounds great.

I fully agree with what tpwuk is saying: when people realise the fuel costs and the servicing and parts costs they look for an exit. They don't want to pay amg spares prices. And this is the problem. Rather than keep something in the manner it should be, things are done cheaply or not at all. Looming big bills such as discs and pads, automatic gear boxes and visiting the rust doctor. These all contribute to low resale values for these cars. The cost of joining the amg club is very low but the continuing cost of membership is very high.

Probably ragged for a couple of weeks and then, when you see how thirsty they can be, driven with the lightest foot imaginable!

The satisfaction in owning these V8's comes by knowing that the power is there, if and when you need it! :D

The do sound fab though. My CLK 430 with the roof down is something else!

It's mine...

I've owned the car for just over a year. The wife wasn't too pleased when I bought it, because I already have a motorbike and she thinks its too many toys...:dk:

The opportunity came up to own an AMG and I had to buy it though. I've always wanted an AMG Merc and this one seemed well looked after, despite the high number of previous owners. Now I've just got a company car and the wife has diesel so its time to sell.

Not the best condition C43 but by no means bad and I think pretty cheap, especially compared to others out there.

I have enjoyed owning it and it drives really well.

Not really the 'big sell' I was hoping for - nice car anyway.

Price has been dropped - wonder if it will sell?
