C43

They ran a small feature on the car in mercedes enthusiast a couple of editions ago. They were very favorable about the car IIRC.

Not sure myself, mainly as i don't think its priced right even excluding the accident damage.

But if its only one previous with a great history who knows!

I'd be very interested to hear what the others think............

(The E500 they have seems to have taken up permanent residence, i still find myself taking the odd peak at it, it was discussed hear before but i like the colour (not hijacking thread) )

Thats a bit strong for an ex write-off in my eyes.

Friend of mine (another dealer) just sold a straight 92k example for £5995.

I read the info about it at the bottom of the advert and it says"there is no remaining evidence of its altercation".Does that mean it's not recorded? As for the price i still think its to much for,in my mind, what is a cat d car.

Yup good point, i'm sure it must be recorded

Well over priced. I thought £4600 was too much for it, even if you got it all fixed under a total cost of £5500.

I would suggest it is recorded as the seller said about the VOSA check.

This would infact mean that the car was a CAT-C write-off which is deemed worse than a CAT-D

Think they havent got a prayer at that price, no more that £3500 for me as what would the insurance company pay out if it got written off again or stolen? I say about £4000 if you were lucky.

Hm - they've skipped the before photos of inside the boot. I seem to remember it looked quite a mess around the jack stowage area. Would be the first place to check to see if they really have done a good a job as they claim.

There are pics of that area in the Merc Enthusiast magazine and it all looked fine.

I like it, wouldn't worry me at all if my plan were to keep it long term.

What is more annoying to me is that these dealers service the car themselves prior to delivery thus not continuin the FMBSH, it happened on my SL, and the "service" they did (not real mercedes) turned out to be just an oil change (not even filter) by a local guy who had badly reconditioned the steering box. I am sure these guys would have done a tip top service job though.
