After a bit of help if anyone knows...

I need to replace the front wing on my C55 and just wondered if it is 100% the same as a CLK W209 front wing? The only reason I ask is they have different part numbers? Or is that just a case of how MB list them?

Cheers.

Terry

I would be surprised if they were the same; the CLK is based on the E-Class.

Ah , but the C55 has the CLK front end to accomodate the V8 ... ;)

Not sure on the wing though.

Might be a longer panel from the arch to the door ?

So you reckon for a new wing I would have to buy the specific C55 one, oh well that will cost a few £'S!

Not the same. You will have to buy the one intended for the C55.

Nope. C-Class.

C/A208 -- W202
C/A209 -- W203

The c class and clk has the same suspension but the panels are different.

But I always thought the C55 used the CLK front end, hence why I thought the wings were the same??

They use some of the same parts but doubt the wings are the same.

CLK based on an E-Class? Really?

Based on the C Class chassis, but interior & fittings etc more in keeping with an E class than a C class, just like it's replacement the E class coupe, also based on the new C class chassis but more E class inside.
