Most important aspect when buying is that if you have any sort of doubt then don't buy. Take the time to sort out or confirm your doubts then make a decision. Also remember that there is always likely to be something that in your eyes needs doing, whether it be mechanical or cosmetic. Remember to factor this on top of the price you buy the car for. It's common to have a £14k budget all of which goes on the car, then you spend another £2k-£3k making it "right", all of a sudden you have a £17k car........
