Possibly. Maybe. Could I do it?!

I love my 507 Coupe (one of the last few apparently), but it's not being used much lately and other cars need my attention. I know if I sell, I'll miss it and want another one promptly, but a quick look at the the MB site where they have a 39K mile car for £42K, made me think values were holding strong?

There's a bit of chatter on here about AMG values and speculation that the NA cars will become sought after, so I'm really torn on whether it's the right thing to do or not. Arrgghhh..... curse 4am insomnia and the MB used car website!!!

Don't do it.
Test drove a C63 AMG 507 yesterday and it is an awesome car.
Depending on how you feel about it, I think you should keep as the 507 in my opinion will increase in value or at least be worth as much now as it will in 3-5 yrs time.
What colour spec is your car. Could you post pics here please.
And why the heck are you on a computer at 4am when you have two Ultima's to play with ;)

I know what you mean.... it is a truly epic car. That motor is a thing of wonder, but..... and as you say, what am I doing on the internet at 4am when I've got 2 Ultimas..... that's my issue & part of the reason for considering selling the 507. Both Ultimas are consuming time & money and for the short term at least, the 507 isn't being used.

I've linked some pics below, from the media gallery (hope that works!!). It's a late 2014 car, one of the last 15 registered I think according to Phil's register. It's got all the usual 507 refinements, inc the forged black wheels, Harmon Kardon, reverse camera, etc. 25K miles, full MB SH, the next service & MOT @ MB are free too (package deal at time of purchase). Just put new Pilot Sport 4S tyres on the back (what a difference in grip!!). If I sell, I'll be back in an AMG later in the year for sure, it's really got under my skin.

I think it's a buyers market at the moment and all this speculation is just that, speculation.

If you put it up for sale I think that it will sell but either take a long time or below these so-called market prices. I've seen the same cars up for sale for a fairly long time.

Put it up and see what response you get is the best thing. I think you'll be surprised, and see opposite to those on the forum. It's a small market and given the economic uncertainty most people who have the money/finance to spend that much are being more financially savvy than splashing out on vehicles at the moment.

I think the only thing the 507 needs is the LSD. On test drive i did feel the rear move a little out of corners.
I really don't like the Continentals, horrid tyres which wear far too quickly.
Nice spec. I'm guessing black leather interior. Favourite interior for me is Black/Alcantara seats with carbon trim.
What you need is a lovely E350 CD Coupe to replace the 507 ... it even has MPS 4 all round!
I have to put my car up for sale to free funds required to get me into a C63.

The Can Am is the roadster isn't it? Really like those. Jealous.

My close mate has one he bought it around a year ago and he went into Merc to look at other cars and he was shocked to find the value of his car is still the same today, he was advised not to get rid of it.

Jrattan..... that's what I'm not sure of.... how much of the "talk" is just that?!

Bajie..... I was going to fit an LSD, but when I put the 4Ss on the back, it transformed the rear grip! Now it's got fantastic bite and I've completely forgotten the LSD! Yes, it's got (perfect) black leather with the alcantara wheel & gear gaiter and piano black trim. I've got a 2017 E220D and the TTS for daily use, so I'm covered (spoiled!?) for dailies, LOL!!! Yes, the Can Am is roofless.... mine is a bit madder with no windscreen either!

If it is a saloon 507. I will be interested.

Don't do it Mark. You'll only want another one once it has gone!

Maybe not the ideal time to sell if you don't have to [or are undecided]. From a contact in the trade, the market for these cars has slowed a bit during the past few months. They are not selling as fast as they were in the Autumn. This may be due to the weather we've been having and things will possibly improve as the sun comes out.

I know Phil! Not "needing" to sell and keeping it for comfort are two different things tho'.... Maybe if I'd got one less Ultima or got rid of the wife's TTS, it'd be different. I need to sleep on it for a while I guess. First world problems and all that!

1st world problems.
All talk on these big lump V8 appreciating in value is just speculation, IMHO.
It very much depends on what the government does legislation wise re: road tax, etc etc on there gas guzzling beast we own down the years.
However much we like to keep these on the road, ultimately it may cost too much and these will affect value and reduce buyers market in future.

Having said that, mine is used daily and will be for the considerable future.
