C63 507 Model Register

Thanks for the info , I’d done a bit of digging but nothing as informative as your response, much appreciated.

From your analysis only 4% of cars had the AMG Performance Suspension. Having driven a 507 without it I couldn’t detect any difference in ride quality to my regular C63 (which has 19s). I’m assuming the ride with the AMG PS is much harder than the regular set up?

I haven't driven a C63 with the performance suspension but understand it is more track focused with firmer springs. The performance suspension was part of the pre-facelift 'Performance Pack' but Mercedes made it optional when they introduced the 'Performance Pack Plus' on the facelift model [as well as making the LSD optional]. I believe many found The performance suspension too harsh for road use, especially when combined with 19" wheels.

There isn't any difference between the standard C63 and the 507 as far as suspension is concerned. Both have the same setup.

Those wheels are great :) Have never seen those AMG's before ?? and shod with Michelin 4s tyres :D

The 19" titanium are nice wheels. They were the standard ones on the 507. The 19" black wheels were optional (and almost impossible to refurbish). 18" wheels were available as a No Cost Option.
 
Would you know the ET and if they are staggered ?

Thanks for the link. Not as well specced as the one you are buying, albeit a little newer and fewer miles. It sold back in March.

Hello Phil,

Perhaps the advert was put back up to see if they could find further 507's to sell as the market is quite strong at the moment from what I have seen ?

I hope to collect the car this Friday or Saturday but whilst I have been paying into the maturing savings plan every month on the dot for quite some time the man from the Pru appears to be dragging his heels returning the money plus the interest he has accrued for me :mad:

I can't wait to take delivery and enjoy getting used to the cars performance and handling traits :D
