yeah you could feel the clonk and through the pedal and it was coming from the area directly behind the pedal sort of in the engine bay. I wonder if it is worth mentioning that to them.

Hmm. I also feel tapping sensation through the brake pedal when I'm sitting idle at the traffic light. Possibly same problem?

Right so an update.

MB Heathrow replaced all of the things I mentioned above and I got the car back the other day and it is much smoother, and no more clonking from the brake pedal area.

SO very happy they have actually fixed something. Anyone have any similar issues in the area then PM me and I can give you the contact details!

Going to put the map back on so hoping that will all be ok!

could you feel the clonk through the brake pedal??? mine had this one time and turned out to be a gap on one spark plug was not quite right and was causing a slight miss (but not showing any codes)

wow, that must have taken an age to fix given it did not come up on any codes. Was it a faulty part or plug not screwed in properly?

It was the spark plug gap......it was too small on one plug.
