Hi all, I'm wondering if special rims & tyres are required to fill nitrogen in tyres of c63. Only reason why i ask is for traction loss purposes otherwise if nitrogen is only suitable for cornering handling the nurb cars then I guess it isn't for this car as its a Pretty much straight line car.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/ answers.

Inflation gas will have zero effect on traction.

Normal air is ~80% nitrogen anyway. If you wish to waste money on nitrogen fill, you will not require special rims or tyres.
Suggest you pay more attention to inflation pressures, experiment with pressures around the MB recommended ones, keeping within the range shown in the handbook.

Oh I see , cheers me dears

Mine are filled with Nitrogen, which I did specifically for the last VMax event. However, what was intresting is that at the local Kwick fit (where I had it done) said they fill all tyres with nitrogen now.....so it's no longer a exotic or anything special.

Main bonus is it does not corrode the rims and supposedly does not expand when the tyre heats up (that's why I did it for VMax......but only managed 190 mph before tearing off undertray and inner wing)
