C63 amg
I need some advice I recentky bought an 09 c63 amg and it needs new brake pads and disks on the front two wheels.

Does anyone know what the cost will be for this? I went to a local garage for a quote and he wants £1400 to do it? What's the cheapest way of doing this?

How much would it cost direct at Mercedes?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance ...

Why would one buy a very expensive motor and then scrape around to get it maintained properly. My advice would be either learn how to do that stuff yourself (which is doable) or pay the going rate and enjoy a very good motor that's been serviced properly

Have you got the 2 piece floating discs? I can never remember for sure, but I think the PPP C63 came with these discs as standard and as such are around £1000 a pair. Add in the cost of the pads and the garage you went to would be about right.

Do you have an indy (MB specialist) nearby? They can do the job cheaper than main dealer, so I'd look for one in your area and get another quote.

MB quoted me well over £2000 for new discs and pads on my C63 PPP several years ago.

Prices on PPP discs have dropped substantially over the last few months. There were a seton eBay for just £999 a couple of months ago as oppose to £1350 they'd been 3 or 4 months ago.

I bought a full set of non PPP discs & pads for around £650 from my main dealer, it's a simple job to change them if you have half an ounce of mechanical know how.

Do non PPP discs and pads fit PPP cars?

i was recently going through this predicament... If you search my posts i did one on this a few months ago. MB could not even get me accurate prices.

If they are the standard non performance ones they are considerably cheaper.. But as someone says they may have come down in price.

Eurocharged in watford gave me a really good price but mine dont need doing yet.

The rears are more expensive than the fronts.

Search my posts someone put a link there to a MB dealer in portsmouth or something...
