I'm new to the forum and looking to buy a W204 C63 estate, so reading your memories of such a special car has only made me more determined to find one! These days, of course, we have all got many more miles on the clock, so those pointers in your piece to later life flags to be aware of is very helpful, thanks. Your post has also answered lots of my questions, so thanks again for that. Can I ask you a couple of extra questions please?
- I've never owned a MB. If you were going out tomorrow to view/test/buy one of these increasingly rare machines, which are mostly through the classifieds rather than main dealers now, what would be your top green and red flags please?
- I noticed you went for a Wavetrac LSD. Any reason for choosing that one vs Quaife? Is there anything in it in your opinion?
- What was your go-to fuel please? It was about the only thing I didn't spot in the write up.
- finally did you use a MB Specialist? Clearly you are happy doing most jobs yourself, but some of us are less confident in that regard.
