Bird droppings and other contaminants sit on the surface of the coating and simply wipe off without doing damage even after say a week without being touched. You can quick wash the car, take it for a fast run without drying and it still looks good, it returns the paintwork to its original showroom finish and keeps it like it for at least 5 years, seemed worth it to me but depends on how much you paid for your car, pretty pointless on a cheap car....Does really seem worth it the more I think about it.

When you say protects against damage, what do you mean by damage, or do you mean damage from bird droppings?
