C63 ECU Re Map

Hi Guys

Yes it would void the warranty if they can prove it and again yes you should tell your insurer in which most that would have insured you won't if they find out you have. Re mapped the car. Hey it a personal thing and I have taken that chance, I looked at it in that I would have had to have paid an additional £10k for a limited edition DR 520 version but ended up paying £650 for the same figures as s DR520.

Have you not informed your insurance company then. If not, isn't that some risk given you talk about it on a public forum?

Who said I hadn't told my insurance company? My post doesn't say that!

Given you post is written poorly, it's hard to see what exactly it does say..hence my query. :)

Was never really good at school, sorry it is so in eligible for you! Now **** off

Does that mean you did or didn't tell your insurer?

I don't need to tell you nothing fella but as you are so keen to sh*t stir, I did tell my insurance company in which they didn't care due to it only effecting a 7% power increase, more than 10% then you have an issue.

Ha, ha...LOL..

My initial query was a genuine query, but thanks for the entertainment, it's made me laugh...

My insurance company has bands, I was under 25% increase at the time and cost £70 to declare.

Obviously the cost is just mine and relevent to personal circumstances.

If insurers use a range to reflect the additional risk of a power increase, then that must create polarised behaviour, depending upon the context.

In pub talking to mates: Yep, that bad boy's pushing out an extra 25% since I had that remap. It's mental now, I can't help but floor it everywhere I go. On my way back from the tuner, my trip computer said I was down in single figures on MPG. I absolutely love the way it goes.

On phones talking to insurer: That's correct, I believe a by-product of Eco-Saver means that the engine is very slightly more powerful, but I'm assured that fuel consumption will decrease by as much as 25%, and of course that means a reduction in real-world CO2 and other emissions too. I'm very passionate about protecting the enivironment as well as my finances.

:D

I agree, all he does is dig holes and try and find something in people's posts.

Dieselman seriously get a life, it's none of your business if he tells his insurance or not, you’re just an envious old man who needs to get lost and stop trying to cause trouble!

if it's not your bloody stop watch it's insurance, tell you what why don’t you worry about your own actions and not other people's, it does not effect you 1 bit if he tells his insurance or not!

That proves you can't read very well. Most of my posts are giving help..
you’re just an envious old man

Envious of what...and how old?

Looks like we've got a good dose of C55/C63 driver syndrome going on here again...

If you're going to talk rubbish, expect criticism.

As for your comment about stop watches. EVERY racing team uses them for good reason. Last time I used one it stopped at 7.98s...which I didn't think was too shabby for 1/4 mile..

Sorry, how fast is your C55..??

No it's not the first time big boy and Benzedup is right you come across in some of your posts as very sarcastic. TBF you do have some really good points at times but most of the time your picking holes in people fella.

At the risk of being repetitive.
If people are going to talk rubbish, expect criticism.
That's not directed at you Benjy, just a reply to your post.

Some of the conversations on here are rather inaccurate and ranting for the sake of it.
No one can criticise accurate facts and ranting is an old Mans game..

Let's get back to the stopwatch.
iirc, It was you that I recommended used one to see if your upgrade was effective. It really doesn't matter how much power a Dyno graph shows as that isn't necessarily the whole story.
Much more important is how much difference it makes on the road.

Only a stopwatch can tell you that.

I'm struggling to see why that is sarcastic or criticism...it's free, helpful advice.

That's fair and hat off to you. Yes I did get given one if those readers of off Nudenut but didn't get a chance to run the car as he needed it back for his run at Bruntingthorpe, we will have to do that and see what the actual stats come out at for accuracy. We are both working on our cars this weekend round his house, I'll see if we can get that run done and post the stats by next week.

Cheers

Look Diesel fella there's no need to start having a pop at my pals on here and we are certainly not fools.

Why not come to the next AMG meet and meet some of the boys then make an opinion. I'll even by the coffee and doughnuts:D

Another one joins the affray...This is like shooting fish in a barrel...
