Folks

Like an absolute numpty, I ordered 245 30 19 Michelin PSS from camskill instead of 2453519 to try and go slightly wider on the front of my c63.

Looking at the two tyres, there seem to be some diameter differences and circumference variances.

Can I still fit them? Not worried about speedo but more look, handling etc

What do you think!?

Can't return them as it was my fault.....

Thanks

CB

What's on the back?

If the correct tyres are on the back I'd say no. You will have problems with cruise control. The diameter is an inch smaller than the 35s.

On the back - 265 30 19

There's only 6mm difference in the sidewalls...you should be ok. Given that the rears will wear quite quickly there probably isn't even 6mm in it.

You've ordered a lower profile, same width tyre to go wider. How exactly did you work out the "wider" parameter? Sell them on eBay and buy the correct size.

If he orders a 245/35 there will still be 6mm difference in tyre wall front and back. To be precise with the 245/35 the difference will be 6.25mm.

I think 265/30 on the rear is wrong. 285/30 on the rear and 245/35 on front would be best. IMO.

Actually, The plan was to go up from 235 35 19 to 245 35 19. By mistake I ordered 245 30 19.

Does that change your question?

I assume you are aware of standard sizes?

235 35 19 front

255 30 19 rears

My plan was to go up to 245 and 265 - general advice on this forum, tried and tested!

Does that help?

The 235/35 is very close to the diameter of a 265/30. The 245/30 widens the gap, but not significantly. You'll be ok the gap is only 0.25 mm greater than the standard ones you've posted above.

I wouldn't have a question if in your very first post you didn't say you ordered 245 instead of 245.

This is great. Now if only you could tell the OP how to mount it over the rear 9J rim.

He said he ordered a 245/30 instead of a 245/35...I don't see your problem. His existing tyres are 235. He was merely querying the profile ratio.

You seem a little touchy this morning.

Quite right.

I assumed you would have joined the dots when I said I wanted to increase the width moving up to a 245 - I assumed this inferred the current was lower i.e. 235 standard

Haha 285 on a 9.5 rim, Dont do that Max you want on stock 19 is 265, if you upgrade rims to aftermarket 10" rear max is 275.

If you havent used the tyres send them back as you said you need 245/35 for front

I have 275s on 9.5 rims...as advised by MB.
