Hi all,

Had the car serviced at main dealer last Friday. It was a 3 year service at 29250 miles so required the gearbox oil and filter changing as well as the A service and air filter.
Their computer was "down" so the sat nav didn't get updated which I needed doing. My 485 odd mile journey last Sunday proved that it needed doing and I am going to France tomorrow too.
Anyway back to the gearbox, it done the following 3 times on my 8 mile trip home from the dealer. When you are in comfort mode and just coasting up behind someone who you can see is turning into a side road the car jolts as you press the accelerator once they are out of the way. Never had this happen before although I have noticed it in s+ mode before the service going from fairly high speed down to 30 ish and then hitting the throttle again.

It has gone back in today for them to check the levels and do an update on the gearbox ecu so I am told.

I will report back once it's been done if anyone is interested

I was actually wondering if I was noticing things after my 3year main dealer service too.... I was going to put a post up like this one, but didnt.

Keep me posted, as I'm sure mine does this occasionally.

Any update on this ? Mine should also have the latest updates and does fell a bit jerky at times as well so might need to go back in.

The car went back in and they checked the fluid level in the box and said it was all fine. They then gave it the latest software update and test drove the car. Car was in for about 1.5 hours while I waited in the lounge area.

In C mode - After driving the car home I noticed a difference. Smooth as silk changing up driving at normal speeds on selection of roads. No more jerky changes as before. Changes down seemed a bit more pronounced, more engine braking feel to it, maybe just me but definatley felt like it.

In S+ mode- next day out for a blast changes smooth as silk again going up, still got that slight jerk when slowing down for a particular favourite left hander from 70 ish to about 30 and then on the pedal again. It's always done that in S+. If I use it in manual it's fine. Just seems that it struggles to know what gear to be in after braking so hard and then back on the the accelerator it isn't in the correct gear for the speed.

Overall it has solved the slow speed jerky change and seems smoother almost seemless in normal driving and flat out in S+

I have left it a week before replying to be sure after using it every day that it was ok. It seems so.

One thing, is it meant to blip the throttle on downshift in S mode? I can't remember as never really used it. Always either in C or S+. It does it in S+ but nothing in S

Cheers

Dan
