I do love the sound of V8's, but that one is just a bit too overdone for me. TBH I don't think any modern injected engine can really get close to the proper 1960's American V8 grumble.

Here's a replica Cobra, but with a genuine 427 side-oiler - this is the type of 'beer and cigarettes' V8 sound I prefer...

I preferred the whine of the super charger in that last vid. I love the v8 sound although the best noise i ever heard was from my capri days and an essex 3.2 V6 i ran one day between replacing exhausts. Not even any cats then eithet. Supurb. Must be heard.

But I agree that first vid sounds awful

In Guildford high street a couple of weeks ago, bit of a hill, when an old Caterham cruised past.
Fantastic sound and wasnt that loud. But it didnt need to be. You felt it.

A standard 63 sounds pretty good, but that one just sounds like some wag has set his rev limiter to 1500 rpm and it's misfiring when he exceeds that!
