So, £6000 on fuel, £1,500 on tyres and £45 on oil for a C63.

A BMW 320 would cost you £2500 fuel, £800 on tyres and £30 on oil.

You have to ask yourself is A C63 really worth the extra £4215 a year in running costs? A whole £11.45 a day.

I think the answer is blatantly obvious

Thanks for the interesting write-up Mika, interesting to look at your Goodwood photos as I have also gone for the same colour combination. :thumb:

Did you have a black leather interior too?

Looking forward to taking delivery of mine next week... :D

I'd spend it - you're a long time dead.

I didn't realise your car does not have the Performance Pack .. how disappointing :)

Any services/brakes/repairs in there? What about tax, insurance, track day entrance fees and estimated depreciation for a complete 'cost per mile so far'? :)

September? I thought yours was a March 2010? Proved I don't pay attention!

Mine is 1 year old in 16 days.....

Sorry - obvious to who? A BMW 320 is as common as a Ford Mondeo and just another blandmobile...

Obvious to me... if you want a C63 you expect it to be expensive to run, but £11 quid a day in extra running costs is a minute price to pay, given you can afford a C63 in the first place. Hence the nana.

And yes, the BMW320 is a blandbox:) The C63 isn't.

sorry - completely missed the sarcasm....:dk:

A few more jottings

I had it "Stargarded" on delivery for £300

"A" service carried out in April 2010 - i provided the Oil , negligible brake pad wear noted - they didnt record the pad wear ( i m sure this will be apparent at the next service following two track days)
cost of service A - £170 plus Oil

Steering geometry checked/adjusted £60 just as a precaution

Road Tax £950 year 1 £425 year 2
Insurance via Mercedes Daimler £592 two named drivers both over 50

replacement lower front grille £20 ( labour was FOC :thumb:MB Maidstone :thumb:) details on a previous thread (branch pulled out in front of me )

next service is due in approx 3000mls say October/November 2011

Ive got squeaky mirror syndrome and my drivers seat is showing slight signs of wear - both not uncommon i believe

initial thoughts :D
and after 12 months :D

I would, but that eleven quid a day is a take away a day. Mmmm AMG or endless curry. Its not an easy a question on first thoughts.

Hi ***

if i park up for the day, occasionally, can i have the curry?:;)

mika

I think you have your cake and have eaten it.

Phenomenal car.

@*** - endless curry and you WILL sound just like a '63 engine at full chat. You'd need to start fitting the back of your boxers with Odor Eaters.
