Hi guys

Whilst cleaning my wheels I came across this!

My car has done 28k miles is this normal?

Thanks James

It's only on a bit of each disc.
Not loads of surface cracks or anything. Just a few here and there

Will they just deteriorate after time? Gradually getting worse. They're only very light surface cracks?

They certainly won't get any better over time, best to have them replaced, or replace them yourself, if you can, sooner rather than later.

They will be fine, a pistonheads member who tracked his c63 wagon on a regular basis changed his discs at 60k miles.

Perfectly fine, mine were much worse when I sold it with 23k on it due to tracking the car and I see the same discs are still on the car as it has come up for sale again.

Perhaps clean out the holes though.

As mentioned, the cracks don't look a concern and I have seen worse.

It might just be me, but the discs look quite corroded and there appears to be quite a lip developing (maybe it's just the picture :dk:).

I'd be inclined to have their thickness checked and possibly replace them.

Don't worry about those, all drilled discs will do this after a while. Whilst most techs would say they need changing, I have seen far worse and have had far worse on previous cars.

Not sure if your car is a PP, but if it is I can see where the massive price for replacement has come from. I am led to believe the std c63 discs will fit as they are the same size. This is what I have heard, so not 100% Sure.

If you did not want to spend the crazy price the PP discs are you could put normal ones on. Lets face it the PP discs are not that much better than normal if they are the same size and most people will not notice any difference driving on the road.

Even on track you can cook the PP ones!!

If I knew what I know now I would have bought a standard C63 and fitted a LSD as this is the only reason I bought the PP.

The suspension is rubbish and for not much more than the price you were quoted for the brake change you can buy a AP racing brake kit.

Try cooking those on track.!!
