C63 Race Start woes

Tried last night first time:
Into Sport Handling
Press brake HARD
Switch to RS
Confirm paddle up
Put throttle on
....."RS CANCELLED"

Then straight after AND this morning, it wont even go into RS mode!! Have I broke it?
Keeps saying something about Race start not available refer to handbook.

I believe it wont activate until engine oil temp is 80c.Might be wrong though!

wasnt trying to do it cold - temp was past the magic 80
