Batteries you are right, 8 year warranty but according to what I read they should go 10 years then what happens ( like your iPhone) is that the performance drops, some cells may die and you can replace..... I think a full set of battery replacements will be more than 5k today, more like 8k but availability is improving and prices will drop.
I doubt I’ll have the car in 5 years so I can live with all that...

Oh and the dihedral doors cause less issues than reported- if you open up both doors in a normal parking space you will still stay inside the white lines...

15 miles in reality, in the colder months it was 12-13. My office is 11 miles from home so a charge both ends sees that off( unless I want to play!)
With other driving I’m averaging 61.5 mpg since December so can’t complain
