Agree with above get rid of spacers, why on earth did it only have a spacer on 1 front wheel?🤔
Classic, love that it only had one spacer. Must have fallen off or taken off when the last owner had the wheels refurbished. Brilliant what you find.

My car also has a permanent passenger, reminds me a bit of Jurassic Park and the amber. I have a hornet in my lights, extra sting in the tail to indicate my car has the performance pack.

Underneath looks really tidy and clean, all looking good so far.

It also has H & R sport springs all round. Looking at the spec of these it lowers the car by 20mm approx. Any views? Looks great and feels fine on the road.

I will be getting the geometry done once the car if finished, I always do this with a garage I trust and know how to set things up to suit what I want.

H&R are very good keep them, should improve high speed cornering etc and improved looks due to lower height.

Bin all the spacers, you can probably sell a pair at least. I can't see why you'd want them on the rear as the wheel sits nicely as standard plus a wider rear track relative to the front promotes understeer.

I personally find the H&R springs too low but if you don't mind the ride height you may as well keep them.

Progress

Ignore the ride heigt in the pictures the car is still held by the ramp.

This is pretty much what he is working with, nothing serious or too deep.

Took my son with me this morning and went to work on the interior, all plastics stripped back - no more shinny silicone coating, and cleaned and treated all of the leather. Looks and feels much better.

Cleaned out the grease in the sunroof tracks and recoated with fresh lubricant, sorted.

Picked my car up today. Will post more pictures when I get a chance. Loving it.

Will need to order new wheel nuts the extended ones that were on are too long and the wheels very fowling locking up the drive (Looking this up - looks like the handbrake on the rear?). So spacers baclk on the rear for now.

Stuck my wife's old plate on as well. (srew caps needed for the rear)

Looks very elegant. I hope you're not going to black everything out like every other man and his dog? The silver wheels and chrome details really pop on a black car.
+1
