Its German, has a round badge, reminds me of a Mercedes. Satan fuelled
Right, having gone quite mad, and not in anyway do I wish to annoy the more mature members of this Forum () I have ordered a new C63AMG Estate.

ETA - Nov although there appears to be a number of build slots available between now and then, so lets say delivery anytime between Aug and Nov eh?

Anyhow, the dilema.

Tansonite Blue
Tenorite Grey
That red they do that sounds like Caramel? <edit-: Carneol red>
A N Other colour?

So your chance to help out another member, or in fact, rant on at great lenght about why I want/need an estate car capable of 20mpg and 155mph(175 if added PP and therotically over 200) on an island 9miles by 6 with a top speed limit of 35mph. = because I can, thats why:doh:.

And you can shove your PCP where the sun don't shine too.

Feel free to comment.

selected :- Parktronic, COMAND, lOGIC7, Alpaca Grey interior, possible additons maybe the media interface and the pre-wire. (2nd edit- Privacy Glass, Black Birds-Eye Maple wood, de-baged boot)

Very nice. I went for grey. Although I'd probably go for silver because i am boring.

Get the pre wire and the media interface and also the LSD. You'll need a slipper with an engine like that and I see it absent from your list :D

LSD is about £1.3k and I am not sure that the ESP, and my right foot really need it.

Still, may have a think. Didn't have it on the SLK and never found a need, and that had some hammer.

I have forgot to add privacy glass, so I guess its back to the dealer, via email.

I am led to believe the media interface is being added as part of the COMAND package for the 2010 models, so it maybe included.

Oh, its being debadged too. like a nice smooth rear end I do.

D'oh!

Forgot the birds eye maple trim too.

Anyway, hows your road tax and VAT getting along. :ban:

Palladium is gorgeous.

My wife wants a white or Palladium C63 saloon.

Not sure about the white though!

KJ

Nice!!

I don't blame you - very fast cars are more about potential than reality IMHO, so it doesn't matter if you're on an island or anywhere else, the limits of the car will almost always exceed the limits of the punblic road.

I'd tick the LSD box too. ;)

I'd forgoe every other option on the list just to get the slipper but all tastes are different I guess.

Is there not a performance pack or something that adds all the goodies....

I went for the Tenorite grey, with the BEM wood it will look the bis :)

As BD, potential is just as thrilling, that rumbling big engine as it growls round those twisty lanes....

Go for red. Not any around and it will make it rare.

Yeah, it adds harder suspension and higher performance brake disks and a alcantara wheel, as well as LSD for £2.7k. Thats not happening.

good point in one sense, but its the only one on this island, along with 1 black saloon. Apparently MB have only made 60 estates so far for UK version. Seems thats about 30 less than they expected after 18months.

Still, I do like the red. And I would have the Solid red too, but I just can't bring myself to select solid option paint and not get £500 or so off the price.

I may even ask for the AMG badges for the next owner to use if they want them.

I guess this car will do about 3k miles a year, if its lucky.

Oh, nearly forgot.

Superplus unleaded....84p a ltr:D

Spend £30 at chequers and you get 10p a ltr off that too.:thumb:

Anything other than black or silver. I would like the metallic beige but little Scumbag reckon's that colour is for golden oldies so I guess it will have to be that nice metallic grey.

Silver to me is just so common and it is soulless, but that is me and respect to the 35 trillion, billion owners that all like silver. They all cannot be wrong, but I am hoping Scumbag is not going to pollute the world with yet another silver mobile :D

The other good news is that the electric opening\closing tailgate is a standard feature.

Am I envious or what?

I do hope we do not have gallah's that prattle on about saving the universe.

Guernsey is just slightly biiger than a postage stamp and if this car gets the rear wheels spinning thenI am guessing it will fall of the edge of the island. Did I say I am envious?

Metallic grey

Are you envious by any chance John??

Hmmmm may be a silly question...but what's the speed limit in Guernsey? 30? 40?......so its a cruising car so you want it as bling as possible to pull ??? Gather the seagulls love Mercedes drivers....:D:D:D

Are you envious by any chance John??
lol

I can still hear his SLK55AMG and my neighbours still remind me about it :devil:

I am REALLY looking forward to hearing the rumble of a C63AMG :cool:

Me envious??

moi?

If the hairs on the back of my neck do not stand on end then I will ask for permission to sue our little demon :)

I agree, it's a free world (for now). I'm not sure I could justify "imprisoning" a C63 like that. Great show of decadence though! Cars this capable are almost becoming wasted on the mainland with the heavy attitude towards any sort of decent progress :wallbash:

Wasn't the limit 40 mph there? When did it change, and has it in Jersey?

I'm another voter for the LSD option.

When you come to sell it I feel the LSD would be a 'must have' for buyers of this type of car.

I'm very suprised LSD is not standard.
