Hi mates!
It's about 3 months that I bought my big star. When I did it, I knew that the front part was replaced when the old owner crashed; and looking on the panel, the external temperature indicates +85ºC, so, or the sensor was defective or absent - an easy thing to fix. When the old owner replaced the front bumper, probably didn't put the sensor back.
I ordered a new sensor and it will arrive by these days.
But for my surprise:
when I looked for the connector, I just found one near the water reservoir, what is somewhat far from the place witch the sensor would be installed on the bumper. I'd tried to look for on the web but the informations are contradictory: some locate the sensor under the hood, near the grill, others show a cable going directly from the dashboard to the bumper, another show that there is an extension cable to connect to the sensor.

Would you be so kind if you could tell me the wires colours to confirm!?

Or, by the way, is this the connector above?

Thank you in advance!

The sensor arrived and I connected it. Nothing. Still displaying +85ºC.
Maybe when someone scanned the car and turned it off, if it is possible.
I'm frustrated!

Any ideas?!

Interesting! By the way, Anyone does know if Mercedes uses the same cable colors on their models? I had noticed that on some pictures I have seen, the cable colors for this sensor are brown/green, while this one that I found disconnected are brown/blue.
I suspect that this connector is used for the alarm siren (which is absent too).
Could you confirm for me if brown/green are the correct cable colors for the temp. sensor?

Better idea:
as i perceived on some pictures and websites, they say that the sensor wires are connected to the front SAM. If it is true, I could compare what wires/connectors are on mine if I could have a picture of another one that the sensor is working.
