    morning guys

    *daft question alert* :p

MB Derby had the car for 2 days & i got it back yesterday. roof is now all nice & clean (with the addition of a slight scuff mark, hmmm, but not too noticable) BUT, it's raining & the water isn't beading at all. shouldn't it be?

i really can't remember what it acted like when it was new, so help me out please!

dunno. sometimes ours does, sometimes it doesn't.
it has just been reproofed with autoglym and it is no different

weird isn't it?! as long as i don't end up getting wet, it must be ok! :D i suppose a light shower might bead & run off whereas heavier rain will eventually 'soak' in? who knows, i have no idea what i'm talking about!

either way, i don't think i've got the energy to take it back again...

My fabric roof only beads after light rain or condensation. heavy rain soaks in. Think it's always been like that...

^as above on the clk cab i previously owned, just remember to re-proop it each year(you can buy the proofing spray from any mb parts counter,i always did mine at the end of september ready for the winter).

It has a rubber membrane in between the layers so it doesn't really matter, water shouldn't get through.

Every other cabrio with a fabric roof that I have owned has beaded nicely after proofing.

I have all the same products and new ones but none seem to provide a nice beading effect, think it must be down to the roof.
