Cabriolet roof not working

Can anyone recommend a mercedes specialist in the Windsor, Maidenhead, Slough area that can look at my roof. When I operate it the windows come down as expected, then - nothing. I have to use the window switches to reclose the. I have checked the 25A fuse associated with the pump/roof mechanism and it is intact.

What model? I had a similar issue in my 99 SL500, turned out I’d fried the roof ecu

Do you have any warning messages? Is your boot separator in the correct position?

boot separator in place. Sequence runs until I would expect the hydraulic pump to start up, then silence. I am probably looking at a new pump or control unit but looking for a repair shop that is Merc knowledgeable but does not require me take out a second mortgage. If I have no other options I will go to a main dealership, but would like to see if I can find something less financially punitive first.

first thing to do would be to get the car on a diagnostic machine, if I recall correctly, the star is the only option that will diagnose roof and issues.

There are a couple of relays on the pump too that have been known to go bad. These are fitted close to the pump and are yellow.

If issue is diagnosed as a faulty pump, there are places that would take your one and sell you a reconditioned pump.
