Can an Ipod be connected to a W210 Comand?

As per the title, is there a way of using an Ipod with command for a 2001 W210? Also is it possible to get a disc with 2008/9 maps for this command or is it stuck with old maps?

Simon - There are many W210's with factory fitted COMAND that came with the headphone socket in the glovebox which you can then use if AUX is selected from COMAND. I do not believe there is an official IPOD kit for this model. Also COMAND 2.0 can use the latest DX maps with TMC. My facelift W210 E320 has COMAND and I do use my IPOD connected via the socket. For charging, I just plug it into the 12v using an adapter I bought on eBay for a couple of quid. I also have the 2008 maps which work fine

Yes - it's just a 3.5mm aux in socket.

Try the dension kit, as on my command it charges the ipod as well and you can control it from the comand and steering wheel controls.

Yeah i agree, try Dension...I've just had the Gateway 500 fitted into my Mercedes and it's brilliant! It's fully integrated into audio system meaning I can operate it using the stereo's controls, far better than aux input...and it charges it too!

Can I ask what year your car is? sounds great if it can be controll by the wheel!
