As Title, Can I get scammed by anyone who has my email address only?
I know they can send stuff, but if its not opened can they still access my pc?
Thanks Eddie

By just having your email address NO. If you open an email with questionable attachments/trojans or dodgy forms then risk becomes higher.

It's a bit like asking if burglars can rob your house just by knowing the address.

An emaail address alone would be of no use but if they have guessed the password for your email account and can read your emails and use it to reset passwords for other accounts then yes, it can be exploited badly.

No you've no problem OP.

Just send me your email address and your password and I'll confirm it for you. :)

The one catch about email addresses is that they have value... lists of valid email addresses are sold to spammers and phishers alike.

So things like chain letters are brilliant sources of revenue for some...

Are chain letters how ancient Knights personalised their chain mail ?
