HOW MUCH !!

190SL or 280SL surely for that money?

Oh , it's beautiful though , you have to admit !!

Agreed, it's stunning....but I can't help thinking.....

It is very expensive, but it looks perfect.

It's nice to see a proper ebay ad, too. The effort he's used to list will help.

Ah, no rust - so if a 40 year old car can survive the weather etc and have no rust, whats the problem with the modern benz?!

Lovely motor though!!

It has had some welding though and the waxoyl job looks like a typical DIY job without the use of a proper compressor, also that car hasn't been driven since being waxoyled.
I saw a photo of a box section that doesn't look like it has wax on the inside and also the exhaust hanging rubbers are the wrong ones. For that kind of money I would want real attention to detail.

Don't spoil my illusion:D

Well can you see what I mean?? Look into the box section through the holes and also the inside of the wing.

Yeah, I can see it.

To be fair to the seller, he's putting the pictures up for scrutiny.

If I'm in that condition at that age I'll be happy ;)

Ooo. Very elegant.

Janner: nice hitlermobile :D.

Hmmm Front left hand chassis leg has been plated. Welded three sides though

Lovely looking motor I have to say.

It's just a shame, other than what others have noted, that the Carpeting and the unmatched wood on the Cubby-Hole let it down somewhat.

But otherwise nice, very nice.

There won't be much left of this car soon that we haven't picked fault with.
Can someone go and have a look at it so we can really have a go.:D

I've said it before on this forum that the value of a classic car transcends the money put into it.

A £40k resto is all well and good, but this car is overpriced. £30k is really top money from a dealer. I have no doubt that it's a beautiful job, but that really is top top top money.

If you want one of these, this certainly ticks all the boxes, and there aren't many around in that condition, but it's the market that values them, not the seller...

I also don't believe that Ebay is the marketplace for 'specialist' items like this.

PJ

PS: Has he gone wood-mad? I'm sure the centre cubby is wrong, and the binnacle should be in leather.

My apologies.
