Can anyone recommend a free FTP program

I need an FTP program to transfer files from my laptop to my website ?

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Not sure if you are aware, but IE can handle FTP directly (up and downloads).

What are you using for your web editing - dreamweaver MX and CS3 (now Adobe have got hold of it) also include FTP.

I also use FreshFTP (download from here)

i use a prgraom called ftp explorer, got it from download.com... very easy, just like another windows box that you can drag into and out of..

Now can anyone recommend a website builder program the one I'm using (serif webplus is crap) ?

Thanks

Stuart

not ie7, they've removed that little bit of functionality. fortunately, windows explorer still does it.

From the start menu, select "run" then type in your ftp address in the flowing format

explorer.exe ftp://ftp.YOURDOMAIN.com

HTH

leech ftp is a pretty good freeware ftp package

If you're a firefox user, the fireftp plugin is brilliant.

Windoze explorer has a simple ftp client, just drag and drop - couldnt be simpler.

Windows FTP is highly insecure, infact its dangerous as it transmits the user name and password unsecurely when it connects.

Filezilla is the way to go.
