Can anyone with a w213 e63s confirm this ‘gap’ ?

Very rarely - like once a week when going over a specific kind of bump, I hear a very audible plasticy clonk around the steering column.

Today I noticed a gap under the front screen right above the steering column - right bang in the middle.
Before talking to Merc, can someone with the same car check and see if this is normal ?
Gap seems to close if I push hard on the side of the console but neither the left nor right side seems misaligned, yet the gap looks odd:

Trim needs to be able to expand and contract with viaious heat thus the tiny gap

Wait until the car has been parked outside in the sun on the hottest day of the year, maybe the gap will disappear . An in built expansion gap maybe ? A lot of trim parts to expand during summertime in Dubai/Arizona etc.
