My original (5 year old) Asus laptop has got my full iTunes on it and it's the only thing I know use the computer for.

The memory is nearly full, so I've been looking at which program's I can delete to free up some memory and I've noticed 'Express Gate' is using up a colossal 617mb whereas my full iTunes is only using 181mb.

Can I delete this Express Gate and what would happen if I did?

You can delete the program easy enough as long as you never use it to boot up to it.
I assume you're aware its a small linux operating system that boots directly from the motherboard in 5-10 seconds.

I can't imagine freeing up this 600 mb is the best way to reclaim some space.

If you aren't able to delete any unwanted files, try and see how many windows restore points you have and whether you could delete a couple. Its more likely to save you some Gb's

Deleted 'Express Gate' from the laptop and the world didn't end.

I only use the laptop for my iTunes so if it has affected anything else, I'll probably never know...

Thanks for the above suggestions.
