On my s212 220cdi the egr is difficult to get to.
I'm keep getting the p0471 code, even after changing the sensor.

Would it hurt the engine?
Would the spray be still effective?

EGR cleaner will not help.

Did you re-set all the adaptation data after fitting the pressure sensor? Was it a genuine MB one?

Thank you for your answer.

It is a genuine sensor.
I didn't do any adaptation. I didn't know I need to. I only cleared the code with a code reader.
Is that an only Star solution?

Its best with a Star.
We often have to clean the DPF too when those sensors fail. Are the pipes on the sensor secure?

First my my mechanic (in hungary)changed the boost pressure sensor and done a regen. It was all fine. On the way back to UK it came up again. Than I changed o2 sensor, now the exhaust pressure sensor. Still the same problem.

Re-gens on these don't work. Id check the soot content of the DPF on a diagnosis system. Or just get it cleaned anyway, its no bad thing to do.
Check the sensor wiring too.

Just an update.

I tried dpf cleaner sprays first, they didn't work.
Then took the car for an off dpf clean. Cleaning and fitting cost £280, but now it's like new. The guy had to brake out the ash and shoot with a metal bar. Now its quieter, stronger and about 7 more mpg.

Wish I did this first.

Many thanks

Sound like they gutted the DPF.
