All gone now.E 220 Convertible, 2x190E, 2xC180, 1xB180 sport.
I just looked at the vin decoder for my vehicle.

Can someone explain why or how my 2014 e-cab is showing year 2002 with 232,582km on it with a delivery date to the UK in 2014?

Does the 2002 date refer to something else and not the build date?
Plus it only has 40k miles on it now.

Which site was it? Online decoders can sometimes be inaccurate, I would ignore the 2002 bit. Also, the mileage is approx, probably based on a 2002 car. Again, ignore.

Guess the first VIN decoder used was assuming a US format VIN - where the 10th character represents the model year of the vehicle.

Thank you chaps.

I got the original link from here ages ago and just happened to have a closer look today while looking at my documents folder.
