Cannot get into the fault check Mode climate control? ?

Hello,
Just got a W210 with the climate control.
there is a video on stating you put the left side on HI, the right on LOW and press 2 buttons together EC and REST to enter the fault code mode.
Mine doesn't go there
It only go to the statistic mode, telling me the temperature and other thingy.
What I am doing wrong there?

Just to say the battery is not good at all, would that be why?

Hi Renault,

This is what I do, but it doesn't go into fault mode
It just go into the Data mode, temperatures and all, not the stored faults?

Any idea why?

got it... Seems it was due to a dead battery?
Now, it has been looking for a while and nothing is happening beside the vaccum pump getting on every 3 minutes or so.
Is that "normal"?
Worried this will drain my poor battery...

As I thought the poor battery died...
I am recharging a replacement for tomorrow.
Now, why would the vaccum pump keep acting during this process? Is there something like a leak maybe? But it should pass it over and call a code? No?
