On the family PC my daughter can on longer receive emailson Outlook, but she can send them ok. If you press the send/receive key noyhing happens. Also if you try to go into the send/ receieve config on her login nothing happens.
If i use here bt yahoo account i can see the mails, also I built another account on my login with her details and that works. So the email account is fine. This has all happened since we loaded MSN Messenger 7.5 ans she is the olny one in the family that uses it. Any idea how she has managed to block her incoming mail? :bannana:

Maybe turned one of the filters on in Outlook (there is a great on where you can only view read messages)......Look under the view menu. Or maybe she has delted her mail settings in Ooutlook (Tools, accounts menu). Or simply de-select the account in the send and recieve options (CTRL+ALT+S).

Outlook generaly sends automaticaly if connected to a live internet connection, recieving needs to be triggered.

I have disabled my Norton Internet security still the same. The strange thing is you cannot even go into the send/receive settings it just ignores you.

What email client is used. Outlook (Office version) or Outlook Express?

Try going to Control Panel > Mail, then configure/reconfigure the send/receive settings from there.

Just an idea but check the system date and time on your PC Netmeeting 7.5 doesn't run if the time is wrong and may be screwing up mail...

Using Outlook from Office 2003. I can get into the send receieve from the other accounts on the pc, its just my no 1 daugthers one I cant. Plus all the rest the send/receive works ok.

Have you done the obvious things like checking the incoming mail server address is correct? If you have multiple accounts from the same provider, check the other email profiles to see if the mail servers etc are correct.

Office has a problem of resetting the POP3 to a default name "Localhost" (occasionally)
Some AV programs set POP3 to 127.0.0.1, and substitute the scan-port.
