cant remove numberplate lights ?

i have a blown number plate light , one of the screws just spins the other comes out ok but the one in the middle is a riviet by the look of it how the hell do i remove the plastic lip to access the bulbs ;( oh btw 1999 clk w208

edit also i found that the arm at the front drivers wheel that controls the xenon self leveling lights is hanging loose , how do i reattatch it ? glue ? it still works the arm is just off?

If the w208 is like the w202, you can unclip the carpet on the boot and change the bulb from behind, there's a thread on how to do it that way but I can't remember which member posted, its quite an old tread though
