Last month suddenly I couldn't start my C350e engine. The screen showed the cable was plugged in, but actually the cable was unplugged. I tried many times over the next couple of days but failed to start the engine. Then one day I could start the engine and drove the car as usual. The following day, the same issue happened again. Do you have similar experience? How to repair it? How much is the cost?

We have had this fault on a car before, however the one we had was a complete non start. There is an invertor controller in the boot which is designed to switch when either the plug in lead is attached and when its switching from hybrid to engine. It sends a starting signal from the controller to the engine ECU to let it know that it has switched and if it doesnt the engine wont crank and or the hybrid system wont recognise unplugged either.

I'm pretty sure we replaced that control module to sort it. You could have the makings of the same fault.

Thank you very much. Do you recall the cost?

Just a failure as far as I can remember. Electrics, they either work or they dont.
