I regularly use CAP's free valuation service and was quite surprised to see a valuation difference in favour of a car with a lower spec.
I was checking out two CLS 320CDi's. One from Oct 2005, the other from Dec 2005. Both have some matching options:
sunroof
xenons
HK
parktronic
keyless entry/go
luxury digital climate
COMAND
Airmatic
The Dec registered also has Digital TV, Distronic cruise & Massage seats. It's stated mileage is 76k and is std metallic silver.
The Oct car's mileage is 64k and is Mocha black.
The older, lower spec CLS is valued at £9450-10350 and the newer, higher spec CLS is valued at £8975-9825.
