clk 320 convertible
hi all got a problem , i put the 03 clk 320convertible in the garage last night locked it and the garage, about 1.30 am the lights and alarm went of so went down and turned off the alarm then on again , 3.30am same again off it went so this time i left the car unlocked and went back to bed ,now when i went down this morning to get it out of the garage the car was locked help needed , its not the first time ive left the car unlocked and then to find it locked ,when ive checked it later , im baffled
 
Your alarm siren may be faulty and is causing false alarms.
If a modern Mercedes is unlocked with the remote but the drivers door is not opened, then the car will self lock, after about 40 seconds, this is normal and is to avoid accidental unlocking with the remote fob.

hi jazzy, but how ,? ive left it unlocked tonight just in case it starts again ,garage is secure tho
 
Had the same on an 03 211, mine was inside the inner wheel arch cover front offside. Literally unplug and plug in your new siren. The siren had inbuilt batteries which
 
Sorry wrong button.......which die after time, the intermittent siren was the warning. Buy new as second hand will only have failing batteries!
 
^+1. You could just unplug the connector to the siren, leave it a few days and see what happens. If all is well, then it will be the siren. Dont leave it like that permanently as your insurance may be void - theft cover
 
replacement is simply plug and play. No need for coding or anything.
 
replacement siren from MB is around £100
 
i know a place with is full of MB parts so will try him
