Hello all. My bro in law recently purchased a 3 series BMW coupe 10 plate and gave it into Car Audio Security, who are based in west London, to do a professional audio installation in his car. They advised would take 3 hours costing £240 in labour charges. In their care the lighting module stopped working resulting in the headlights not working along with the electric Windows. They stated that this is not their liability. From a legal viewpoint is that correct?

Why is it not their liability? They had the car and during their installation they have damaged the vehicle. No different to reversing it into a post. They are liable if they have caused the damage - end of.

have you had the vehicle examined to find out how it stopped working?
