Car Dead!! (Don't worry, not a Merc)

My brother has been told by local garage that his Toyota Eminem people carrier has had it!! Head gasket gone, and damage to engine has occured.

Basically, not worth fixing so want to ask what his options are?

I suggested lising on eBay as breaking for spares. But he's doesn't really have time to be striping it and taking bits off etc.

Do scrappies still pay for old bangers? I heard that they now charge you for disposing of the car. (Whereas in the old days they used to pay you for the scrap metal).

Any ideas on what he can do with it? (and no, he doesn't live anywhere near a cliff )

He could always borrow a digger and make a cliff?

In all seriousness I'm sure I've seen adverts around Leeds of late for people after scrap cars and paying for them, not much but something.

Don't think he'll get much but think that will be his best bet.
